Model "A" car show at the Ford dealership. 100+ model A vintage cars... spectacular!
Model A's w/ running boards... restored & beautiful.
Raton is an old western crossroads town. David & donna called this home for years. Festival today & craft vendors lined the main street. Went into a few western saddle shops & Leather work was great. Met Saldalo, was a neat guy!. legion Riders-- about 300 strong-- on a run for the wall.
Afternoon drove back to Sugarite... went up to the end... Lake Maloya. Fished & was windy, 30+ gusts to 40.... worried about fishing w/ no license as didn't stop to buy. found out the West side of Lake was actually in Colorado... so hiked out to West side & fished a couple hours. Caught 3 Trout... couple Spekled & a Rainbow.
Headed back & stopped for Hot Showers at main ranger station.
Grilled Trout, 2 hours fresh, WOW! w/ foil wraped onions.
A GREAT day ! .... This is what I came for.
