The real -- original Chimney Rock... of the Chaco indian / 4 corners culture of
1,000 years ago. That evolved into many tribes... ie Utes, anasazi, the Hopi,
the Jimez, navajo, ect... This was the center of the universe for this region.
... the spiritual and guidance of the tribes & cultures of this region... at
that time.... this was the center of the universe. Mesa Verde, Aztec ruins, Salmon ruins, ectt... this was the place.
Chimney rock has kiva ruins,
there are remote / isolated / high grainaries in the area. This was a sacred
place. This is THE Chimney rock! The Sun cycles are dominant in most ancient
cultures ... here too... but they also used a lot of Lunar cycles here which is
a rarity. A lot of evidence of astrological / cultural history here circa 925 to
1150 AD. Moonlight lecture was interesting.. Seeing a full moon here like the
shamans did a thousand years ago... thin I remember them.
