Across Mississippii

I love The South. There is no place better. It's an amazing sociological place to study, especially growing up in it.

You see the poverty of the rural south. You understand the struggle 'cause you went to school with the Sons, Daughters, cousins from the families; they 're friends for life.

and you see the old money too. ... so many great things about the South to write... that's for a whole 'nother website. maybe in time. for now... today... It was riding through the South ... and I understand the people, 'cause this is home.

One suprise today... you always wondered about Billy Joe McAlister jumping off the Tallahatchie bridge? This was the bridge.(iron bridge) not the big one-- that's the Tennessee- Tombigbie barge waterway

I love The South. Elvis (pronounced Ale-vis) came from here. Elvis could not have come from anywhere else, but here.

Thank you Elvis & BB ! Somebody Shoot this Thang! You want the REAL origins of rock music... you come to THE SOUTH ! The pioneers like Muddy Waters, Little Richard, Carl Perkins, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, BB King, Levon Helm, & all the really great pioneers... If it wasn't for them, it would still be swing 'n sway w/ Sammy K, or Jimmy Dorsey & The Big Bands... which are great East Coast / West Coast Swing dance music in their own rite... but it's THE SOUTH pioneers to thank for our really great rock music. And you get to dance for your tribe to this music...

?Is this a great country , or what? None of this was planned. Thank you for today !!!
