Wendsday July 28, 2010 ITW 91 Kalispell, Montana O - MOK - SEE Horse trials / competition

?Did you ever wonder where cowboys / cowgirls come from? You Start them young,... you teach them / raise them how to grow up on the range... how to raise cattle... to ride... how to work a ranch... how to make a ranch work! ... & the first thing you know, they're teenagers... & they're ready to start ranchin.

I look at the youngsters today during this O- MOK -SEE ,... & in a few years I know they will have a ranch that they call their own. ... Workin' it from dawn to dusk, just to make it go.

This was a maintenance day. Oil change on the Monkey Wagon am. Then find a laundromat in Kalispell -- Laundry day. While waiting on the dryers... across the street looked like the county fairgrounds / stands. ... and there's horses often running the backstretch.

?Could this be Montana Horse Racing? I want to go over and put $2 on the nose of a horse that looks good.

After laundry, drive over & it's "O - MOK - SEE" ... Montana ranchers horse trials and competition. Now a greenhorn tenderfoot like me can quickly see the cowboys / cowgirls have a LOT of pride riding for their ranches and families. I don't know horses / ranchin'... but these youngsters have put in a lot of time and heart when you see the skill they ride these horses. This was a real treat to see this.

NOT planned; just stumbled onto this spectacle. I saw a lot of horses w/ their ranch Brand.... but I did NOT see one "gang" tattoo on these kids; go figure. These are some good kids... and I know their parents are proud of them for all their hard work w/ their horses. !!!

???Do you have Teenagers / young adults??? ... It would be your Lucky day if they brought home one of these kids "to meet the family" ... Only thing better if they said "my gramma came across in'54" ... meaning their great gramma crossed the prairie in 1854. ...Or if their Dad was a Veterinarian in Iowa . Think gene pool!

What... a Great Day! Thank you
