Devils Tower, Wyoming
North of Gillette, Wyoming

I've been to several places the real rock climbers go. Squamish, Zion np, Smith Rock, ... and Devils Tower unique in it's own rite.

I do not see how the climbers do it. this is sheer straight, vertical rock face these guys are climbing. Some places veer "out" so they're climbing w/ feet dangling.

All the people i've seen climbing are "wirey" ,... Lean , well honed muscular,.... they take care of their bodies to be able to this type of climbing.

Seeing climbers half way up Devils Tower required a stop & prayer for these guys... and ALL climbers.

Curt Johnson... RIP ... This is your kind of place. The guys that look like a speck on the side of the tower; they have your heart to do that. I miss you buddy!

You never drink twice from the same stream.
