Pine Creek camp 2

ITW 63 64

July 3

Pine Creek camp 2

Gallatin nat forest

2nd night stay at Pine Creek camp. was not as fortunate to get the pavillion again.

See the pavillion post .

But did get a site on the north side of the camp... at the base of the Absoroka mountains... the snow pack is still there in July... and is the source of Pine Creek

And... the site backed up to pine creek. 100' away, crystal clear, mountain snowpack runoff, very beautiful and peaceful to sleep listening to the roaring water.

Trout fished for a while w/ no luck. Stream moved very fast and no real good eddys. Didn't even see any trout. Most of the time you can see plenty of trout in the clear water.

After fishing, had to wade in Pine Creek . Liquid ice. My feet are still cold. A good day.
