Livingston, Montana Train Station Northern Pacific RR depot

ITW 63

Saturday July 3

Northern Pacific RR Depot Livingston, Montana

This is a really neat old train station. This stop at Livingston was the main port of entry route to Yellowstone nat park 50 miles south of here.

I bet this was a grand place to arrive at 100 years ago. The architecture gives you the feel of 1902 Montana. Or imagine coming out of Yellowstone to board your return train here.

Inside the station is a Northern Pacific RailRoad museum and it takes a few hours to see all of the history of this region and Livinston, and the impact the railroads had on the pioneering West.

Upstairs there is a film museum of all the films shot in Montana... small room but really good.
