July 3, going back into Livingston , MT for the festive weekend... The Livingston Rodeo... they had a craft show downtown.
Right across from the craft show vendors and fantastik Northern Pacific RR depot is the -- world famous--
Dan Baileys Fly shop... mecca for fly fishing effecianados / mental illness fly fishermen.
This place is legendary. If you fly fish... this is the place. If you saw "A river runs through it"... they were here.
from a previous road trip... T-bird goes over from the craft show and buys a $19zebco rig that we take to Yellowstone and eventually fish the Lamar and Yellowstone river. No luck then... but caught about 2 dozen trout at Flaming Gorge -- see the "Search for Trout, flaming gorge post --
but now I go over to the dollar fly rack... the marked down specials from the $5 flys. ... and pick out a half dozen for $5. ... discount flies....
T-bone used this fly to catch about 2 dozen trout on this journey...It was a fantastik fly that had the guys at Flaming Gorge coming over to see what she was fishing with.
It was a neat place... fly fishing mecca for sure....
