Trinidad, Colorado
It was a short hop through Raton Pass,... by Fishers Peak, to Trinidad, Colorado.
After maintenence and laundry day ect... it was late afternoon and only allowed a few minutes to see downtown. I liked the monument to the coal miners. and the few buildings had a historical architecture of the late 1,800s.
I've always heard about Trinidad and it's history of being a post / town on the Santa Fe Trail. Will come back tomorrow when there's more time.
Still heading west to the 4 corners area and will drive hwy 160west from Trinidad. but tonight will camp about 8 miles west at Trinidad Lake st pk . --see Trinidad Lake st pk post--
