Canyon Ferry
12 miles east of Helena, Montana is Canyon Ferry Lake / reservoir. This is Lewis and Clark County. Lewis and Clark are very prominent all through the northwest US.
At the Canyon ferry rangers station there is a dugout canoe similar to what Lewis and Clark & the Discovery expedition used. really neat to see a hewn out log canoe. Very resourceful to make due w/ the materials at hand.
Canyon Ferry is peacefull and quiet. Wind 20+ . Trout fishe d no luck. too much wind and trout went deep.
