Butte is throwing a street party. everything booked... overbooked.. considering going on to Helena. Anaconda Booked! i want to see downtown..

Stumble onto "SAMBOREE" at the Butte Civic Center. Good Sam RV club state gettogether / jamboree is there. $60 for 3 days & has showers... take it. Thank you Big John & MT Samboree. Met AJ... just like my Grampa ; resourceful guy & still seeing the world at 80. And Joann, graceful & said stay w/ them in Missoula when passing thru. Great folks, I learned alot from them!

Butte is an interesting town and it's favorite son is none other... American daredevil legend Evel Knievel . (sorry Super Dave). Later learned that the Butte civic center-- our temporary weekend home while in butte... was the only building big enough to hold Evel Knievels funeral.

Downtown Butte drive. Old western mining town, & see Minerals museum at Montana State U campus WOW!!! & back to Samboree at 4 & Hot shower... get on bus across st shuttle to festival at 6pm.. Dale watson country music rock a billy, some swing dance... at 7;45

9;15 is ZYDECO dance tent w/ Geno Delafose & French Rockin' Boogie... & they ROCKED the house.. Great zydeco rock & got to dance -- danced for my tribe... festival people didn't know how to dance... just hopped around & crowded the wooden dance floor like it was a rock concert... but still a great rockin dance w/ Geno (See the Dance Dirt review).

Another great day !!! Thank YEWWWW lord!

Butte MT "The Richest hill in the world"
